Our Metal Roof Coating Process

1) Pressure Wash:

The first step in coating your metal roof is a thorough pressure wash to remove dirt, debris, and any old paint or coating. Our industrial-grade pressure washers ensure a clean surface for optimal coating adhesion.

4. Base Coat Application:

After seam reinforcement, we apply a base coat to the entire roof. The base coat not only enhances adhesion but also provides an extra layer of protection. We use Aldocoat 374 at a rate of 1.5 gallons per 100 sq. ft.

2. Apply Primer:

In some cases, a metal roof may require an additional primer coat to ensure a strong bond between the base coat and the metal surface. If necessary, we apply a primer after the pressure washing process.

5. Caulking All Screws:

We meticulously caulk each screw head on your metal roof to seal out moisture and prevent leaks. This step ensures your roof remains watertight and compensates for any deteriorated rubber gaskets.

3. Seam Reinforcement:

To prevent water seepage, we reinforce the end-lap seams where the metal sheets overlap. This added layer of protection prevents moisture from causing damage, rusting, or leaking.

6. Top Coat Application:

Once the base coat is applied and all moisture entry points are sealed, we apply a final top coat. The top coat not only adds further protection against moisture but also enhances the visual appeal of your roof. We use Aldocoat 400 at a rate of 1.5 gallons per 100 sq. ft.
